LOL I have no idea how many bottles I don't stop to count them. Yeah, Matt, I was a bit leary of buying a sub $100 katana for actual use but this one really does the trick, time will tell on the durability but looks good, so far I've wacked my stand and batted a bottle without any damage. Hiead, it was you first pointed me in the direction of Swords of Might and Musashi, I thank you. I'm pleased with the purchase none the less. Still thought it bore mentioning to have a balanced review. Yeah, Random, those chips were annoying and to be fair, I'm sure Swords of Might would have corrected the situation but it's not that big a deal for me as I use my toys rough anyhow. btw, where did you order you elite from? Thanks for the good words. (I had to look up yokote, boshi, and ha) Love learning new things. Larry, nothing to those spotches, I should have cleaned it up better before posting, they wiped off. This katana far exceeded my expectations for the price. Tough too as you can see in the vid I wacked my stand pretty hard and clipped the cap on that milk jug without any damage at all to the blade. Even with my limited experience it cut well. Deluxe stand included.Īfter cutting I see what all the ado is about katana. Katana fits tight in the saya, no rattle. Tsuba - brass antiqued, dragon and wind design. in my opinon QC shouldn't have missed these, two points off finish. The only downside was two chips in the saya near the throat. I am surprized at what you can get for less than a hundred dollars. I was impressed with the feel and look of the katana. The blade was scary sharp and carbon steel. The blade was coated in nice protective coat of oil. It arrived in a plastic bag inside a fancy box incased in foam peanuts surrounded by a cardboard box. Plus standard shipping via UPS got it to my door on wendsday morning for a grand total of $81.82. I ordered it on sunday night for a purchase price of $79 minus a store discount, minus the SBG discount, After much soul searching and consultation with fellow forumites The abundance of reviews for Japanese type swords has finally drew me to the dark side and I decided I just did, I got sixteen in the video and probably five or six more after the vid stopped.Review of the Musashi Wind Dragon Katana by Richard Williams of Evansville Indiana USA.
